I installed MasterShield Gutter Guard about 7 years ago. I am now 7 years after installation, and am getting water damage in my house as a result of either poor installation or a poor product.

When it rains, water runs over the gutters, not into them, and in the winter, icicles hand from the guards, and when they melt, water runs INTO the house around the window frames.

I've reached out to MasterShield, but get no response except that they want to give me a free estimate.

I continually request a call to resolve the issue of workmanship / poor product, but get nowhere. I would never recommend this product, as the Company doesn't seem to stand behind their product or care that a customer is now having to spend a considerable amount of money to repair their workmanship.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $5000.

Preferred solution: Have the company come out, inspect the issue, and repair the installation / damage under the product's warranty.

Mastershield Cons: Lack of communication, Unable to get a response from the company, Product causing damage to my house.

Location: Roxbury Township, New Jersey

Anonymous - I actually tried that early in this process, but never received any response. However, I have left them a few messages since your response, but still haven't received any reply from MasterShield.

Sir,

Please contact the local MasterShield dealer by calling this toll free number: 877-532-****. The current dealer/manufacturer is not the same company(s) that installed/made your product, so you'll have to explain your issue when you call.

They would not suggest a free estimate if you already have the system and explain your issue.

They may ask for photos of the problem to help them troubleshoot, so if you have a digital camera, take photos of the trouble spots.

Icicles are a result of poor ventilation and insulation as MasterShield discusses in detail on their website.

Go out and check that's what should be done. Did they sign up to be s trouble shooter for you?
